Not a quote today, but a different kind of WHOA!  In Living Color premiered on Fox 25 years ago today (whoa, has it really been that long?)

Today’s graphic reminds me of the opening sequence of the show when all the cast members were throwing cans of paint at a canvas.  You knew you were going to see something different when you saw that opening and we sure did.  By today’s standard, In Living Color might not seem edgy, but back in the 90’s it was.  Homey D. Clown, Men on Film, Handi-Man and Fire Marshall Bill Burns all pushed back the edges on humor.

The show is known for launching the careers of several Wayans (it was created by Keenan Ivory Wayans and his brother Damon,) Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx, and David Allen Grier.  But don’t forget about the Fly Girls who danced in between each skit. Rosie Perez choreographed both Carrie Ann Inaba and Jennifer Lopez.

You can still catch the show on Hulu, Tv.com and others.  If you’ve never seen it, give it a try.  I’m sure you’ll agree that it deserves two snaps up.
