Einstein was the ultimate creative—creative scientist. The full quote above is “If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music.” He often said that music played a part in the discovery of the theory of relativity. He was an accomplished musician in both violin and piano and whenever he found himself stuck, not knowing where to go next, he would lose himself in music and come across the answer there. So the next time you find yourself stuck, go lose yourself in something else, lose yourself in a daydream.

What a lovely idea. I love music but often forget to go to it in my quest to be productive. Wouldn’t it be something if losing myself in it improved my productivity! Guess I’ll try it.
I’m a huge daydreamer! All of my best writing comes out of daydreams. 🙂
Sometimes, when I’m daydreaming, my husband asks what I’m staring at and I tell him that I’m working.
Superb advice ❤️ I think today I will heed it . . .
🙂
Daydreams are the best! I feel it’s like a mindful moment in your day.
What lovely way to start my day – with a day dream.
The combination of the two is a favorite of mine. Music and daydreams are the breeding ground of creativity!
Yes!
Music is so important to my processing my emotions from joy to grief and everything in between. What a great post.
Thank you.
Einstein was the master of the sound bite long before sound bites. And so darn profound!
Yes, he was.
