Even though you’re

growing up,
you should never stop
having fun.
What are you doing to have fun?
Having fun, laughing, and being silly are all important things that we need to continue doing as we age. You don’t need to be a kid of 12 to have fun playing games. But whether it’s playing cards or hunting down Pokémon, have some fun while you play.

Having fun and playing build your creativity and help keep you young. Isn’t that great? You can laugh your way to staying young!

You get old when you stop having fun.
I agree! We all need to have more fun and belly laughs every day.
Belly laughs for sure! Great Ab exercise.
“There is probably something wrong with me,” my ten year old said last week. “I imagine strange things in this world I escape to in my head, like what if Shrek was a unicorn?”
“Sounds like you’re on track son, write it, someday it will not come to you as easily, and the memories of these will bring it back.”
I’m intrigued by what’s happening in his head.
I agree. Laughter is the best medicine. #MLSTL
Never ever too old to play. #MLSTL
Hi Jennifer – I think that’s what having grandchildren brings out in you – the fun! I love being the fun Nan and chasing them around or doing kid stuff with them – it gives us all so much joy – and keeps me young! #MLSTL
I don’t have any grandchildren yet, but I remember watching my father get on the ground with my son and play with Matchbox cars. They’d push them around and makeup stories about what they were doing. And my mother used to take my son miniature golfing all over the state.
Hi Jennifer,
I love this! It’s so true that we should keep having fun and sadly, we often forget. It also helps make sure we don’t take ourselves too seriously which I love. I’m lucky with my dogs who always want to play 😉
Dogs remind us to play and have fun!
Hi Jennifer, Laughter and love are medicine for the soul. Visiting from #MLSTL. Have a conversation with a loved one whether it be one the phone, Skype, Facetime or in-person is my favorite kind of fun.
What a dull world it would be if we stopped having fun and stopped having a laugh. We all need to be big kids at heart ?
so true!
This summer I created a summer play list… because I knew I needed positive play as the uncertainty of things around me continued. Looking at what others considered play helped me see what in my life is play (without grandkids to make it come more naturally).
I like the idea of a summer playlist. My husband and I have been going around and checking out local parks early in the morning. We want to get there before a lot of other people show up. It’s certainly helping us to get to know our local Florida area.
I’m doing park walks once or twice a week, but only ones that I know have wide paths, so not really exploring new ones. Even in the early morning, I’m surprised how many people are out.
I’m thinking of trying laughter yoga!
Laughter yoga does sound like fun!
How could anyone cope at the moment without a great sense of humour and a bit of fun?!
I agree Jennifer and feel now more than ever we need to know how to have fun! I love this collection of quotes and am finding my grandchildren are great ways of forgetting how serious life can be. #mlstl
Fun is my middlename!
Amen to this Jennifer! It’s so important to laugh and have fun at every age.
They do say laughter keeps you young!
